Yesterday I was scheduled to work 9am-5pm, but it was so slow that PB and I got every task that requires two people done before 3:30pm (*gasp! shock!*) and I clocked out at 3:45pm. Then I went home and slept for two hours because of cold recovery issues, and also because I had tickets to a concert that evening. Said concert was put on at my church by NYS Baroque, and consisted of a bunch of French Baroque music played on period instruments. It was excellent music excellently performed, though I suspect I would've enjoyed it a bit more if my head hadn't still felt as if it were stuffed with cotton balls. :-/ Ah well, such is life.
In other cold-related news, I continue to improve! I was able to actually sleep through the night last night, instead of waking every hour or two with a hideously dried-out mouth (because of inability to breathe through my nose). Today I was able to drink Coca-Cola again! And I have been writing!
I looked at part 19 of "Lemonade" and made the executive decision that I do not care if detailing the translation spell and its effects is a delay and a derailment of the plot, because screw it, that's what I want to write about and trying to cut that out and segue into other stuff is probably the main reason I stalled out for so long. So I have retitled the section in acknowledgement of its total self-indulgence and have been merrily poking away at that this afternoon. It is currently at 1,450 words, just into Sasuke's POV section. This means it'll probably be on the shorter end of the average chapter length, but what the hell, it will be a chapter.
Also it will have world-building and exposition, because what's the point of a translation spell if you don't take the chance to actually explain some things? So yeah.
Hopefully I will have that up later tonight. :-)

Date: 2013-03-04 03:25 am (UTC)I have always been annoyingly susceptible to colds, by which I mean I both catch a lot of them and tend to catch them hard, such that for me there has never been any practical difference between a cold and the flu because everything people tell me is supposed to make the flu worse is stuff I get with colds anyway: mild to moderate fevers, killer headaches, wrung-out exhaustion, joint aches, random stabbing muscle pains, etc. Plus nasal congestion, chest congestion, sore throats, sneezing, and general inability to think, of course. :-( Colds suck.
