wherein Liz does a lot of dusting
Apr. 26th, 2013 06:43 pmMy friend Susan will arrive for a weekend visit in about two hours. *frantic housecleaning ensues*
The plan is for us to participate in the Cayuga Wine Trail's annual Wine & Herb Festival on Saturday, and attend a concert by the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra on Sunday afternoon. Beyond that, things are undecided. I am thinking either the Johnson Art Museum or hiking in the Taughannock Falls gorge (which is about 3/4 of a mile from the lake up to the waterfall itself, IIRC), depending on the weather. Or maybe hiking in the Buttermilk Falls gorge, which involves more climbing but has some really neat kettleholes and other geological formations. Also meals. We will get fed at the wineries on Saturday, but clearly we must account for three breakfasts, lunch and dinner on Sunday, and probably dinner on Saturday as well.
Oh, whatever, we'll figure it out. :-)
But I will probably have very limited internet access, because A) it's rude to netsurf instead of hanging out with a guest, and B) the logical place to put my air mattress is in my computer room. So no writing (not that I was doing much writing anyway), and no rereading "Secrets" in preparation for writing either... at least until Monday evening.
Have a great weekend, everybody!

Date: 2013-04-27 01:48 am (UTC)Susan is, alas, delayed, having missed the exit from I-81 to NY-79 and driven north past Syracuse by accident, but I expect her in the next half hour. *crosses fingers*
