Secrets 15: Open Doors: In which Ginny continues her string of awkward apologies before returning home and starting to reclaim her life. There are no magic solutions, no shortcuts to recovery, but sometimes happiness sneaks up and ambushes you when you least think you deserve it. (9,000 words) [ff.net version]

It was certainly an interesting experience to go back through the old chapters, both to remind myself what happened and to code italics for AO3. I flatter myself that I have improved somewhat as a writer over the years (and have also become less weird about ellipses, OMG, I have no idea what I was doing with them back around 2004-2005, it burns, precious, it burnssss) but I think that despite some awkward scenes and sentences, and my tendency to highlight themes with a sledgehammer, "Secrets" holds up fairly well as a unified story. :-)

It does hold together! I read straight through the first fourteen chapters in about a day and a half here and thought it all was great (ugh so many things I owe reviews on) and so is the ending. Yay for finishing things!
