Oh thank fuck, somebody won Mega Millions -- one ticket in California and another in Georgia. That will remove a significant source of stress at work for the immediate future.
Of course, we still have all the holiday shopping stress, not to mention the "training two new employees at once" stress, but eh, I can cope with those. Particularly since both new hires are MUCH more competent right off the bat than Puppydog was... though since they both have prior retail experience and he had never had an actual job before, it's not an entirely fair comparison.
Oh yeah, speaking of Puppydog! We are pretty sure he will be back in January, so yeah, things are going well on that front, or at least as well as can be expected after serious health issues.
Lemme-Tell-Ya, on the other hand. Um. Well, the latest we've heard is that his daughters are thinking of moving him to a nursing home down in D.C., closer to where they live. I don't know if his partner has any say in this, or what will happen to her, though at least one of her children is currently in the Ithaca area so she won't be completely alone.
