Boss Lady and Melodrama had all the magazines packed by the time I got to work today. Apparently Mr. Speakerphone sent people over to help, since the totes were not in the back room and Boss Lady had made an "it's too hot, have a free drink" list that included two unfamiliar names. The racks are still here, but I suspect they will not remain for long since Mr. Speakerphone called around 4pm to ask me to count the ceiling tiles over them (each tile being roughly two feet square, apparently) so he had a length estimate for eight racks together. (For the record, 23.25 tiles, which is 46.5 feet. Give or take; this is not an exact science.)
Melodrama packed up a bunch of candy, for which I wrote the transfer invoice. I also wrote up some maps, which I just wrapped with a big rubber band and dropped into the pouch that we use for sending paperwork to the main office each day.
GTECH should come uninstall the lottery terminal on Thursday afternoon, and Boss Lady said she was going to call the Ithaca Journal to tell them not to deliver any weekend papers, so Friday will be our last newspaper day. Saturday is really just for cleanup at this point.
I closed at 5:30pm. Wednesday I might close at 5pm, unless there's been more business than I expect.
It's really surreal to see the store so empty.
