The difference a day makes! (And by 'day,' I mean not even twenty-four hours. These photos are from ~10am on Thursday, April 9, and the previous set were taken at ~1:30pm on Wednesday, April 8.)

four tiny pepper seedlings on Thursday, April 9; the one on the bottom left is still wearing its seed coat over its leaves

and the last three tiny pepper seedlings, slowly uncrumpling and turning toward the sun

So far ten of eleven seeds in this batch have sprouted and are growing at a ridiculous pace.

Gosh I love plants. :-D

Very pretty!

(My own gardening endeavours tend to swerve between //obsessively nurturing seeds in pots// and //you mean I have to cut grass and weed again? I did that last month!// )

That is pretty much my experience of gardens. :-) Stuff in pots = yay fun! Lawns = oh god no, why can't they take care of themselves??? I've never actually had a garden plot in the actual ground, so I'm not sure which side of that divide it would fall on.

I have some tree seedlings growing out back that I sprouted from tiny shreds of orange from a single seed-pod. They seem to enjoy all the extra water in that part of the lawn. Hopefully, when they get a bit bigger they'll suck up all the excess. Meanwhile, I get to feel accomplished - tiny specks of orange! They're getting so big!
