So I'm doing online training for Not the IRS, right? And I'm watching a video on accessing certain types of client documents via a certain program. And there's a list of fake clients to create a more accurate sense of what the program page will look like.

These clients are:

Anthony Stark
Stark Industries
Chase Stein

Barney Stinson

Hugo Strange

Jervis Tetch

...

Somebody with an interesting cross-section of fannish interests had way too much fun putting that together. And I salute them. :D

I'm used to unimaginative fake client names like "First Last" or "Program Monitor," so these were a pleasant surprise. :-)

:D Whenever I have to fake up a custom data structure, I always use my current source of fannish glee. At least I can smile while I suffer.

My kind of person! My go-to fake data for testing databases/spreadsheets/etc is fairytales and nursery rhymes, which have the advantage of being instantly recognizable as fake to anyone who happens across the test files, but fandom is probably more fun. :)
