I ran into Landlord Dude in person on Monday when he came by to do some yardwork, and told him about the oven. That was fortunate since the message I'd left the previous week was on his wife's phone and apparently he and Landlady are not in regular contact anymore. (??? Oh well, not my problem...)

He said he knew exactly what the problem was, that it's a known issue with a certain part as it gets older, and that he didn't have a replacement with him but he could buy it that evening and swap it for the broken ignition doohickey on Tuesday while I was at work.

He duly did so, and now my oven works again!

So yay for unexpectedly timely repairs. :)

I am very pleased! (And also relieved, because I was dreading a protracted argument over needing to replace the whole appliance.)

Yay! That's wonderful news, especially since it didn't require the complete replacement of the oven, which would have been a pain. Go forth and bake lots of delicious food in celebration! :)
