I ended up naming the big plant Charlotte and the little one Gwen. :)

Thank you to everyone for the suggestions! I will keep them on file for the inevitable next batch of potted babies -- Castor continues to produce both flowers and babies every four to six months, you see, and it is getting ridiculous. *wry*

(Actually, if anyone wants a free spider-plant, I can totally hook you up...)

Thanks! I like naming plants because it helps me individualize them and make sure I'm taking good care of them -- I am less likely to accidentally neglect 'Damocles' than I am to accidentally neglect 'the spider-plant that hangs over the armchair,' you know?

Any mention of spider-plants makes me think of the cartoon Spiderman theme song. Except it goes "Spider-plant! Spider-plant! Does whatever a spider can't," and continues in this vein, only worse.
