still not dead!

One flower began blooming either late Friday or early Saturday. No other buds have opened yet -- I think they may be reacting to the most recent round of Repels-All I sprayed on the porch floor. :/ But still, buds!

The decapitated pepper is recovering nicely, as you can see from the second picture: exuberant new growth is springing up from three leaf-joints. And my tiny zombie pepper, while it has not grown much (if at all), is in good color and continues to cling determinedly to life.

I am debating whether to water them before I take Dottie back down to NJ on Wednesday. We are currently predicted to get rain in the back half of this week, but forecasts have been very unreliable on that front this summer. I suppose I'll wait until Wednesday afternoon to decide.
