twelve peppers, Monday, 5 September 2016

my lovely little Lazarus pepper :)

I could probably cut this one off and eat it by now if I wanted to...

and from here on it's just me going, "Aaaah, so cute!"

because seriously, are these peppers cute or what?

obviously the only correct answer is, "THEY ARE THE CUTEST THINGS EVER"

I mean, just look at them!

they are 100% certified adorable as fuck :)
The peppers continue to do well. The poor pepper in the green pot (at the far left of the first photo) continues to suffer intermittent squirrel attacks -- by which I mean, squirrels keep digging through its pot and tossing handfuls of soil onto the porch boards -- but they're not biting stuff at the moment and the plant in question has just opened its first flower, so.
The mutilated pepper looks like it might bloom in a couple weeks -- I think it's started to grow its first flower buds (as opposed to leaf buds) -- and every other plant has already flowered and/or has buds that are actively turning white and preparing to bloom. (Well, except the Lazarus pepper, of course, which is running two months behind the others.)
It's been dry this past week and I have watered the plants twice. I may water them again on Wednesday, with some fertilizer in the mix because this is the time of year when they could really use some extra nutrients.
