edenfallingI am having a hard time kicking my brain into gear and writing fiction. So. Tell me what I should work on:
1. The epilogue to "Apartment Manager" and its sequel, "The Guardian in Spite of Herself"
2. "Locked Room Problems," the Giles/Indiana Jones story with the demonic fertility goddess
3. "Undertow," the mission that follows "Tides" (Warning: this one is DARK)
4. Chapter 10 of "Secrets," my retelling of CoS from Ginny's point of view
5. Chapter 3 of "Lemonade," the semi-humorous crossover with Faith, Duo Maxwell, and Sasuke
6. Chapter 3 of "Strange Likenesses," an AU wherein Voldemort attempted to possess Harry when Harry was very young... only it went rather badly wrong
7. Something else -- be specific!
Please pick ONLY ONE STORY. Otherwise I will probably continue to flounder around for a while... well, that or give up and bury myself in original fiction. (I'm going to do that anyway, come November, so this is your last chance at fanfiction for a while.)

Date: 2005-10-25 08:29 pm (UTC)Besides, 68,000 words won't get me anywhere near the end of the story. I'm estimating something like 150,000, and that may be too conservative. It's a sweeping epic sort of thing, but I flatter myself that it's more realistic (and simultaneously more magical) than most current "fantasy" epics -- I dreamed it up when I was 13 or so, but since then it's developed into a rather gritty story of multiple-front wars, internal chaos within a fragile empire, assassinations and murders, political posturing and scheming, magic that nobody really likes or wants, religious conflicts, two separate coming-of-age stories, destinies that may or may not be true and/or inescapable, swordfights, occasional romance, etc. It's a lot of fun to write.

And, -she- *jerks thumb at CSNH* wants me to remind you that she didn't get along with Canon-Naruto because he was unbelievably annoying rather than because no one liked him - after all, she knows how -that- little cycle goes, real -personal- like, and damned if she's going to perpetrate it herself! SHANNARO! *CSNH baps him again* Ow! Right, right. Anyway, even in canon he eventually ended up crossing a sort of border between 'obnoxious' and 'amusing,' being as he was just so -sincere- about the whole thing, and Yukiko will've taught him how to move the line towards the latter, even if just by example and such, and how do you think that'll've changed how they interact, do you think?
And I wanna know what happened with Naga and Kafunnokaze, dangit! ^_^
Please, Ma'am, may we have some more?
And, would Sasuke be cheered to see another orphan at least doing a little better than -he- is, or jealous for the same reason? *CSNH raises fist, eyes blank and flames in the background* Yipe! *cringes, then runs, CSNH in hot pursuit*

(And like others, I don't see how you can write multiple stories at one time. Not that you can't keep multiple story *lines* in your head -- I'm working on three at the moment -- but where in the world do you find time to *write* all those stories? I have to work on one until it's done, or it won't get done!)

I'm also very interested in whether you're going to have more Kakashi interaction with our fave Apartment Manager - I got the feeling there was a lot more going on behind the scenes with those two (not in a romance way, because yoai!fangirl all the way *sheepish smile*) and I think that could use some developing (and hopefully Kakashi angst, *is hopeful*).
