illness and writing progress
Dec. 12th, 2005 01:30 pmAm sick. This is not good. It's one of those not-quite-a-fever things, with runny mucous that's heading down my throat instead of out my nose. Can we say "Hello, slab of raw meat masquerading as your throat, coming to Ithaca in 24 hours tops?" Yes we can.
Argh.
However, while illness means I have a distressing tendency to lose the threads of my thoughts before I reach the end of a scene -- which makes it very hard to stay coherent through writing a work of fiction -- it also apparently loosens me up enough to write sex. So. "Locked Room Problems," that Giles and Indiana Jones story, is all done except the falling action, and falling action is a lot easier to write than sex. I hate writing semi-graphic sex scenes, but that story was constructed in a fashion that wouldn't let me elide it.
And I got another 200 words of "Guardian" as well.
I still wish I weren't sick, though. My typing is getting seriously dyslexic.
