I said a while ago that I ought to start working on a unified Narnian timeline and then mentioned some problems that effort had created -- I have fixed both of those, by the way -- and now I am pleased to announce that I have finished the project... or at least gotten it into compliance with my extant writing in this fandom. So I'm posting the whole thing, because A) I think it's kind of cool, and B) it may be of some use if anyone wants a better idea of how my Narnia fanfic fits together.

A lot of this is borrowed from Lewis's own Narnian timeline, but I threw some of the extra-canonical stuff out because it made no sense (or is just depressing, like Cor's death date) and it's not in the books, so I can and will gleefully ignore it when I see fit. There are three timelines because my fanfiction covers three separate worlds: the world of Narnia, the world of Charn, and the world of England, which one may presumably call Earth.

Not all of my Narnian fanfiction fits into this timeline. I have deliberately left out my Problem of Susan fics, since several of them contradict each other and I'm constructing a this DID happen sort of timeline rather than an IF this happened, it MIGHT have happened roughly here-ish sort of timeline. I have also left out AUs, for obvious reasons. But everything that could plausibly fit has been included, plus all the history from my Thoughts on Calormen meta posts and a bunch of background world-building for "The Courting Dance."

I will add new stories as I write them and new information as I discover it. There will undoubtedly be some time lag between a story or meta post and a timeline update, but I will do my best to keep this mostly current.

:D Well done on completing a mammoth work! I can see how much fun it'll be, dipping in to see how your whole world hangs together, and that especially I'll enjoy using it for a leisurely, steady progression through the early stories - which I've just started with 'Prayers to Broken Stone'. (A review is loitering on ffnet. :) )

Awesome. This is an amazing amount of work and you probably put way more into it than Lewis ever did!

Echoing Ruth here. This is fabulous. Sometimes I wish I could set up a timeline but then that would require trying to make all my stories consistent in the same universe and that's so not going to happen.

Also, is Cor's death date actually mentioned in the official timeline? I don't remember seeing that....
