"Secrets" snippet
Apr. 24th, 2004 08:28 pmSo I'm working on Secrets today, and I suddenly got hit by a scene from chapter 8. Except I'm working on chapter 7. Bother. Anyway, I wrote it down before it could get away, and I thought I might as well put it up here.
It's not terribly spoilerish; just know that it's after Christmas holidays and the third attack (on Justin Finch-Fletchley), Ginny's just found out what's really going on, and Tom has stolen enough of her life that he can sort of manifest himself... but only to her, via their connection.
Um. It occurs to me that I should mention, in case it isn't obvious, that "Secrets" is a sort of behind-the-scenes of "Chamber of Secrets" from Ginny's point of view. It's my big, evil WIP fanfic, and the second fanfic I ever started writing. It goes very slowly, because I am a lazy bum, but I swear to God that it will eventually be finished.
( Chapter 8 snippet )
---------------------------------------------
No other news, really. Went shopping, replaced the Coke I stole yesterday from somebody. Made nail hooks for the mailbox keys, also, and left a note advising people NOT to use them.
It was a lovely day -- warmish and sunny, but breezy enough that you didn't overheat while walking.
