This is an FF7 story for

icedark_elf's

mercverse AU. It's probably not at all in line with her ideas of canon for that AU, but I was reading some of the ficlets earlier this afternoon and this idea grabbed me and wouldn't let go until I wrote it.

Kind of sloppy, and mostly unedited -- I will come back and fix it up in a day or so.

ETA, 5/23/06: Okay, fixed now! It still rambles, but I think it flows better, and I clarified some things.

In other news, "Finding Marea" is at 11,650 words, and I think I have the final scene more or less outlined. *crosses fingers*

Also, chapter 5 of "Lemonade" is at 700 words, and the (much-edited -- thank you everyone who commented!) chapter 5 of "Guardian" is now up at FF.net. Go me!
