Hear ye, hear ye!

The 2016 Narnia Fic Exchange and 2016 NFE Madness collections are now open. This was a small year, so it's only twenty-three stories total, but I expect they are as high-quality as always.

Here is the one written for me:

Triptych (5659 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia - C. S. Lewis
Rating: Mature
Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence
Characters: Lilith, Jadis | The White Witch, Jadis' Sister (Narnia), Aslan
Additional Tags: Charn, Worldbuilding, Rituals, Dark Magic, Religious Imagery & Symbolism, Biblical References, Blood
Summary: Lilith woke to the song of that created a world. Jadis ended another with a word. Lilith waited for Jadis at the end of their long path of willful reason.

I am too brain-fried today to write a proper explanation of exactly how and why this story is so awesome, but trust me, it is fucking awesome and you should go read it. ♥

As for myself, I usually attempt true anonymity (by which I mean I don't reuse the most visible elements of my own previous worldbuilding and character backstories), but due to the persistent brain-fry I've been slogging through all year, I did not have the spoons to play the game. You get no prizes whatsoever for guessing what I wrote, because obvious!Liz was really goddamn obvious this time. *wry*

NFE woes

It looks like somebody added a fic to the NFE Madness collection right after it went live, which means that it didn't get revealed with the other two and is still an inaccessible Mystery Work.

It's for me. I know it is, because I can see it being all tempting and mysterious in my own Gifts subpage. I really want to read it!

And I can't, and this is so incredibly frustrating, argh!!!

ETA: It appeared! :DDD

And here is the other story somebody wrote for me -- interestingly, in response to the same prompt (basically, 'tell me a story about Charn! Charn is fascinating!').

In Word and Deed (5510 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia - C. S. Lewis
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Characters: Jadis' Sister (Narnia), Jadis | The White Witch
Additional Tags: Charn, Worldbuilding, Magic/Spells & Curses, The Deplorable Word
Summary: In a world lit by a blood-red sun, where two sisters battle for the throne and where a single word has the power to destroy life itself, the only thing worse than a summons from the Queen is a conflicting summons from the other Queen. It was no wonder that Nethyr had ill dreams.

Again, I am too brain-friend to make a proper rec, but you should totally go read this right now because it is just as awesome as the other fic. ♥

(I swear, I got so stupidly lucky with gifts this year...)
