help with AO3 issue, please?
Feb. 21st, 2012 11:35 pmTechnical question from a person who knows possibly less than nothing about computer coding:
How do you make the AO3 display different font faces and colors within the text of a story? I know this is possible because I've seen other people do it in their stories. But the site doesn't recognize the old html font code, and the only thing I know about CSS is that it is called CSS and has something to do with websites and display and stuff, full stop.
I need this trick to make the chatlog portions of my Homestuck porn fic display correctly.
Thank you for any help!

Or whatever hex code or color you want. You can use "red" and "green" and etc, as well; in that case, leave off the #.
If you have a long block of text that needs to be a given color you can add the style="etc" to a div tag that goes around the whole block instead of adding it to every P tag.

3. Does this work the same way for font style/face/whatever? I mean, can I force the text into being Courier New as well as whatever color?

[p style="color:green; font-family:Courier;"]
