May. 25th, 2005 02:55 pmActual review submitted to "Paint the Town" at ff.net:
look i havent started reading it yet and i want to but i am seriously danted by
i, its HUGE
break it don give us a break i read LOTR etc etc but this is takin it a bit far
LotR??? Oh, come on! My story's only 18 thousand words, not 150 thousand or more. Sheesh.
Besides, it's a one-shot. It was conceived and written as a unit, not as a chaptered story. Yeah, I broke it into pieces for LJ, but that's only because I wasn't sure I could post the whole thing at once. I'm not sure what the limits on post length are.
Also? Learn to spell. And try some punctuation marks. They exist for a reason.

Date: 2005-05-25 08:44 pm (UTC)What's weird is that I have a very short attention span -- or more properly, I am easily distracted by shiny things -- but I am perfectly capable of sitting down and reading a thousand page novel in one sitting (with allowance for meals and whatnot). I figure if I can do that, reading 18 thousand words isn't too much to ask from other people. :-)
