I spent yesterday and today playing around with choreography rather than writing actual "Guardian" story-words, because I've hit the part of the scene where it is absolutely vital that I know who is where and doing what at every point in time. It is all very well and good to have a POV character overwhelmed by chaos, but the writer needs a better grip on what's actually happening.

So. Choreography time. *sigh*

On the bright side, once I get that done the actual writing should go pretty quickly, and scene three should likewise flow well since I'll already know more or less what goes down and it's just a question of getting Yukiko's reactions and thought process and stuff.

...

I can generally write conversations and people following a chain of thought/emotion at the drop of a hat. Externally focused scenes, on the other hand -- action, porn, or anything else that depends on a firm grasp of human anatomy and relative locations -- require a lot more work.

Fight choreography has always been the toughest bit of fanfic writing for me too, especially if the fight has more than one person on each side.
