stuff done: Sunday-Thursday

1. Taped, sanded, and painted the remaining picture frame. I still have to do touch-ups on it, and I am quite sure Mom needs to take it to a frame shop for repairs (the wood on the back side of the frame is all chewed up where the hanging wire tore out, plus the frame itself is kind of loose and badly aligned with itself), but anyway, I am almost done with the project. :)
2. Changed linens.
3. Began repotting various spider plants, which is a project that will take a few months and also requires me to buy at least two new pots. I combined Stheno, Nefertiti, and Euryale into one pot (now named Medusa, for obvious reasons), and I snipped all the segments of Babylon free from their roots and dunked them in a big vat of water to grow new ones, which will take at least a month. Then I will repot those segments in their old (now cleaned) pot with new dirt, and in locations where they won't be trailing six inches over the edges at the ends of long, spiky brown snakes of old dead leaves and a roots. *sigh* Then I will do the same to Damocles, which will take at least another month -- probably more like six to eight weeks, in both cases.
I also want to put both Castor and HayJay into bigger pots (not combining them, just giving them some breathing room), but I don't yet have the pots, plus I think I will need another bag or two of soil to deal with all this repotting plus my eventual pepper project.
4. Returned my slightly overdue library book.
5. Photographed my peppers.
6. Photographed my six narcissus.
7. Bought groceries.
8. Paid my monthly internet bill.
9. Ordered new checks. (Why is that so expensive??? *whine grump complain*)
10. Cooked the free dinner I got from a tenant's HelloFresh subscription.
11. Took compost out to the backyard bin several times.
12. Vacuumed my apartment.
13. Some church stuff. On Wednesday evening, I briefly dropped in on a con info session, to let parents and teens know what the process is for signing up and attending cons this winter and spring. Thursday evening was the first meeting of the Stewardship committee for the year -- aka, the group responsible for getting members to pledge so the church has operating funds for the year. (I am apparently the prized new blood. Everyone cackled evilly and vowed to track me down if I tried to back out. *wry*) I need to contact a couple people on committee business before next week, and to clear Thursday evenings for the next few months insofar as that's possible.
I think I might be able to make a pledge again this year -- I haven't been able to for a while, because of precarious finances due to unemployment -- and it will be nice to support the church with money again, instead of only with time. :)
14. Chopped and froze a storebought pepper for later use.
15. Made a blood donation appointment for Monday the 23rd, since I am eligible to donate again as of the 10th, and the Red Cross duly started sending me scads of Very! Earnest!! And!!! Desperate!!!! Emails!!!!! Hopefully I will not get sick the day before the donation, which has happened to me in the past.
16. Received a paper copy of my W2 from the rental office. Received electronic notice that my 1099-G is available to print whenever. Received notice from Vanguard that I can sign up for electronic delivery of tax notices, which is of course faster than print delivery; I may or may not bother.
I might start putting together my own tax return this afternoon, when I have my first shift of the year at Not the IRS...
16. Wrote six three-sentence ficlets (one is... really not three sentences anymore, whoops), which I will post as soon as I get one more finished.
And now to go knock off some things from today's to-do list. :)
