So. "Beauty," the story I plan to give people, is at 4,700 words and is somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 finished in rough draft. I need to finish it tonight and tomorrow so I can format and print multiple copies on Thursday.
If I can't make that schedule, I have an alternate story, "The Moon's Daughter," at about 2,000 words, which is finished. I plan to format it this evening.
And on top of that, this morning I wrote the next scene in chapter 3 of "Guardian," because I am fundamentally incapable of staying focused on anything. *bangs head against table* So chapter 3 is now 1/4 finished in rough draft, which is right on schedule. Damnit. I do not have time for this!
*runs off to apply for another job*
ETA: The heck with "Beauty." I'm giving all relatives except Dad and Vicky a copy of "The Moon's Daughter" instead. Immediate family can be fobbed off with IOUs, but everyone else had better have a physical product in their hands. So I'm going with the safe option.
Granted, this is a fairy tale in which the protagonist starts out as a complete jerk and I get to gouge out one of his eyes and burn his hand and arm to useless meat before he really gets a clue, but still. It has a happy ending!
(Everything I write seems to go morbid to some degree, unless I work very hard to keep it light. *sigh*)

Date: 2005-12-20 09:25 pm (UTC)Iruka is tallest. He's canonically 6' tall. Yukiko's about 5'4, and Naga's a couple inches taller than she is.

Date: 2005-12-21 05:12 am (UTC)In other things, not that it matters for this pic but it will for others down the road, I went looking up character profiles and found Iruka's height to be 5'10" and Kakashi's 5'11". Also, their ages to be 25 and 26 respectively. So in Apartment Manager Iruka's 19, Kakashi and Yukiko are 20, and Naga's 13 (meaning she wouldn't have much of a chest to speak of), is that right? I swear, I'll stop spamming your comments pages now. No, I take that back, I'll try to stop.

Date: 2005-12-21 09:58 pm (UTC)Yukiko was 22 in the autumn when "Apartment Manager" starts, and 23 in the spring during the chuunin exam, which means she has a winter birthday. *flips coin* I declare it to be in January. "Guardian" starts in mid to late summer, not quite a year after the epilogue of "Apartment Manager," which means she's now 24.
Naga was 13 during the chuunin exam, and is now 14. Her birthday is in... *flips coin* September, so she might have a birthday during "Guardian." I must check my timeline on that. She has a chest, but her overall figure is slim and still a bit lanky.
Spam away, I don't mind. :-)
