Was so massively bored at work (going back through my previous work and documenting little things that are not our responsibility to fix, but that the client should know about) that I started writing chapter 14 of "Apartment Manager."

It sucks ass. See, I'm trying to work a conversation around to make a certain set of points, and the bleeping characters don't want to go there. But it is IMPORTANT that they go there, because it touches off a character decision that then becomes a plot point.

Bad. There are many blonds who could be described as having silvery hair, and many who could be described as having golden hair, but if they combine the two, they've been having fun with the dye.

Mmm... depends on the type of gold, actually -- some is pretty damn white/silvery -- and the effect of the light is also important. (My friend Cat has dirty blond hair which has silvery highlights at times.)

But I take your point. Change 'em all to gold; it's probably best to simplify the color scheme anyway.

(Please do not give me plot bunnies about Death Eaters and hair dye. That leads to bad places. Or at any rate, very silly places involving the twins and bizarre psychological warfare.)

Erm, I kinda got caught up in reading the giant splooge of the H/H shippers wank (Saw your H/H fic being praised somewhere, by the way) and now it's past midnight and I still haven't finished beta-ing Knives. Bad Las! Is it okay if I finish it in the morning? With the timezone difference, it should be there when you wake up.

But you did mention you were on holiday tomorrow. Are you going away? If you're leaving earlyish, let me know and I'll stay up to finish the beta. Seriously.
